The L & W Family {Gilroy Family Photographer}

 I had the honor of photographing one of the sweetest families ever. The son and I go way back, and I mean waaaaay back to elementary school. One of the older sisters was one of my daughters first grade teacher and the mom of the bunch helped out at my elementary school a lot. I haven't ever seen the whole bunch together - so it was quite fun photographing their wonderful family of 11.

MRTT Virtual Summer Safari 2014

There is a local running group in town called Moms Run This Town (MRTT). It is made up of moms with kids of all ages, from new babies all the way to teenagers. They are a local chapter of a National group and twice a year the National group puts on virtual runs that each chapter coordinates locally for their own group. This summer the run was "Summer Safari" and I had the honor of photographing these wonderful ladies throughout their 5K Summer Safari Race.

This group has a an amazing group of leaders that go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and supported. They worked so hard to create an event that everyone enjoyed. Check out this wonderful set up!

They even had goodie bags for the kids and snacks for after the race!

Team Splash - Another Season!

Team Splash is a local swim team that started just 4 years ago. They compete in the summer cabana league, as well as year round. Every year they ask me to come out and take their team photos, and I love to do it. Not only do I love the families and kids that swim for Splash, but it's a lot of fun!

This year I was able to add some fun new designs to my sport photography; buttons, magnets and  borders! It was a big hit!

And for anyone that doesn't do team photography; gathering 80+ people (mostly kids) is no easy feat! But we pulled it off again!

I've been quiet...My family

It's been quiet here over the past few months. I've been working diligently on keeping my family of 8 running, keeping myself sane, helping at the kids schools and so much more. It's not an always an easy task keeping photography balanced with every day life, but now that summer is here I'm trying.

Here's an share of some not-so-recent work, the kids have only grown by about 6 months since these were taken. But my oh my, if I can wrangle my own 6 hoodlums (I tell ya, kids of photographers are always the most difficult) I can photograph anyone! ;)
